We are currently accepting articles (500-3,000 words), reflections, poetry, short stories, artwork, photography, and recipes for any of the upcoming issues and themes listed below.
We are particularly looking for articles that skillfully weave together the mundane and sublime aspects of life with clarity, insight, and humor.
Note, we are not able to accept any text submissions submitted in a .pdf format. Instead, please send them as a word document and include your first and last name in the title.

When we think of stewardship, we most often think of it in one of two main ways: financial stewardship and environmental stewardship. But at its root, stewardship means much more than just that. It’s defined as the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. What does this mean for us as Catholics? It’s a charge given to us to recognize and understand that everything we have was first given to us by God and that we are called to receive His gifts with grateful hearts, cultivate them responsibly, share them generously, and return them to Him with increase.
This notion of Christian stewardship shapes every aspect of our lives no matter how big or small. Whether it be how we spend our time, where we place our attention, the care we give to our bodies, the keeping of our homes, our mindset and approach to work, how we live out our vocations, the love we give our friends and families, participation in our parishes and communities, the ways in which we preserve tradition, deepening our knowledge, or how we are formed in our faith.
St. Francis of Assisi offers us a beautiful model of stewardship. In 1206, Francis heard a voice from the crucifix tell him to “Go, repair my church.” He began with the stones in front of him, literally rebuilding the chapel he was praying in, before coming to understand the wider service God was calling him to: helping renew the Church itself. His life reminds us that stewardship is not just passive admiration of creation around us, but rather a calling to be instruments of God’s love in the world.
